Saltaire is just a few hundred feet east of Kismet, which includes boardwalks throughout. Geographically, Saltaire has several distinctions: it sits on the widest portion of Fire Island; it is second in size only to Fire Island Pines. It contains Clam Cove, the only natural, protected harbor on the island. The town’s commercial district is limited to a gourmet food store, a bake shop, liquor store and a post office -- there are no public bars, no discos, restaurants, or hotels.

Judging from the first weekends of the 2008 summer it promises to be a great summer. Rentals are still available in every range. We welcome you to our island paradise and hope you have the same great time that those before you have had. Our agents live on Fire Island and have vehicles available in the Fall, Winter, and Spring to pick you up at Field 5 or at the train station and drive you across the beach if ferry service is not convenient. Our professional and courteous staff is ready to help you with your summer plans.
